I get the sense that we take these superhuman performances for granted. To make up 47 seconds and win by 17 over a 6 km climb just doesn’t happen. Virtually everyone was waiting to announce Ganna’s victory. It’s beyond extraordinary.

Putting out the same power as a rider 15kgs (35lbs) lighter than you on a climb is all-time great type stuff. Could likely have matched Jonas' TdF best with this form.

Definitely not taking anything away from Jonas either. We just have to realize that these people aren’t normal! I like that Pogacar is strong on a cross section of rides, including the Monuments. 14 Monuments, 6 wins, 8 podiums. Sort of reminiscent of Merckx, Hinault, Induráin and Coppi. 73 overall career wins at age 25. Jonas has shown equal prowess at the TdF. I think we’re fortunate to see such people race.
